The history of CPIX dates back to 1988 as well as the start of the Energy Insurance Reciprocal (EIR), a non-profit insurance program created by and for the Canadian upstream energy companies to control insurance costs, maintain stable long-term rates and build solid relationships based on honesty and integrity.

Today, as manager of EIR, CPIX provides insurance solutions to the energy industry. We have Safety and Loss Control expertise available to provide subscribers with risk surveys, audits and program development assistance to help reduce, manage and control the cost of risk. Our personnel are knowledgeable and experienced in dealing with the oil and gas industry.

CPIX Supports Canadian Athletes - Referral Program

CPIX is a proudly Canadian Company. As such, CPIX has chosen to support our Canadian Winter Olympic and Paralympic athletes in their efforts to represent Canada, on behalf of our clients as a “Thank You” for referrals. CPIX will forward 1% of gross written premiums referred to CPIX  from June 1, 2009 until December 31, 2009 to the “OWN THE PODIUM 2010” fund (http://www.ownthepodium2010.com) in support of Canadian Winter Olympic and Paralympic Athletes leading up to the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics.
