The Energy Insurance Reciprocal (EIR) dates back to 1988. The EIR is a non-profit insurance program created by and for the Canadian upstream energy companies to control insurance costs, maintain stable long-term rates and build solid relationships based on honesty and integrity.

Today, as manager of EIR, the Energy Insurance Group provides insurance solutions to the energy industry. We have Safety and Loss Control expertise available to provide subscribers with risk surveys, audits and program development assistance to help reduce, manage and control the cost of risk. Our personnel are knowledgeable and experienced in dealing with the oil and gas industry.
